Yesterday, I show some of the creations of Gonçalo Texeira, since I was so inspired on the necklace he made, I decided to use it in a jewelry window display that I had to do for class. The window display denotes the art of creating that is why I use Michelangelo`s painting as reference. The background is very neutral and match the necklace so your sight goes directly to the middle of the necklace. I hope you like it, I really enjoyed creating it.

Spanish: Ayer les enseñe algunas de las creaciones de Gonçalo Texeira y debido a que me inspire en el collar que el hizo decidi usarlo en un escaparate de pequeño formato que tenía que hacer en clase. El escaparate se basa en el arte de crear y es por esto que use la pintura de Michelangelo como referencia. El fondo del mismo es muy neutral y combina con los colores del collar para que de esta manera la vista vaya directo al centro del collar. Espero que les guste, me diverti mucho creandolo.

A gift or a buy from a local artist named is better appreciated than a top from Zara, Bershka, or any other franchises that everybody shop (including me). These are some necklaces I found on a local market in Portugal from an artist name Gonçalo Teixeira who uses vintage buttons on his creations. See his creations here they are amazing.

This is the window display that LV is displaying this season, and I absolutely love it. You know when you have a good window display if people stop for taking pics with it! And in Rome there was a line for pics with this elephant in Via Condotti. Once again LV did it again.

Una manera de medir el exito de un escaparate, por lo menos en el sentido de llamar la atencion, es que la gente pare a tomarse fotos con el mismo. Smoking has been part of the fashion industry for many years, the habit of smoking has been portrayed as the "it" thing to do on editorials, magazines, etc. I understand this because a cig can make a model on a pic look more mysterious or can help emphasize a rebel look, if we look it in the more artistic way.

I am not a fan of smoking, not only because it makes your expensive perfume go away but also because it can ruin the whiteness of you teeth. But I know its hard to quit for many people, that's why you should search for a solution, specially if you feel that you are hooked on the unhealthy habit. Many people try hypnosis, a nicotine patch, eating more, etc. My roomate try Vapor 4Life , a vapor electronic "cigarette" which emanates flavored vapor from it. He hasn't stop smoking, but have lower his daily intake of cigarettes per day since the electronic one has some nicotine on it.

A few weeks ago was the Mango Fashion Night, a complete marketing success. The store was so full that you have to wait in line to get in. I had to leave early because to be honest couldn't handle so many people at one place together! Either way, there was music, drinks, and a discount of 20% for the people who where brave enough to do the line to pay!

Spanish: Hace algunas semana fue el Mango Fashion Night, un exito rotundo de mercadeo. La tienda estaba completamente llena, tanto que habia que esperar para entrar. Alexander Wang RTW Spring 2012

Thanks to the people of Milk Made and technology many people around the globe were able to see the Alexander Wang Spring fashion show. I got to say that he was awesome, preserving the essence of his minimalistic but edgy style, Alexander Wang capture my attention from beginning to end. 

A mix of high cut button up shirts, army outside pockets, nets, leathers, printed helmets (this is going to be so hot), leather bandanas, tunics, and wet hairs; all well balanced in a result of a chic rebellious look.

Tengo que decir que me encanto, preservo la esencia minimalistica pero muy edgy, capto mi atencion de principio a final. Una mezcla de cuellos altos, bolsillos exteriores de army, redes, cueros, estampados en cascos, bandanas de cuero, tunicas y cabellos mojados lograron el resultado de un look muy rebelde pero chic.

Due to the fact that I will leave my country in less that 10 days I have been very busy and working like crazy. From all sorts of doctor's appointments, to doing my last project of visual merchandising. I haven't been lucky with my apartment hunting so if you are in Barcelona and need a roomate I'm your girl, but well I'm positive I'll find something. But on the other hand I have something in my power I've been waiting a long time!: My new professional Canon camera! couldn't be more excited so I attached the first pic of my Buddha that I took. Also, a blurry pic of what I'm wearing today because they took my wisdom teeth out and I don't want you to see my big ass swollen face :)

It's sad summer will be ending soon but fall will make a beautiful entrance fashion wise with fabulous prints, warm colors, soft and cozy fabrics along with gorgeous elaborated leather pieces.

In my country it's hot all year round (at least on the city) but I will be moving to Barcelona in 2 weeks!! So, I couldn't be more excited to welcome Fall once again. I leave you with my fave designs for fall.

Spanish: Es muy triste que el verano ya vaya a acabar pronto pero el otoño hara una entrada triunfal, en cuanto a moda se refiere. Bellos estampados, colores calidos, telas suaves y comodas, y bellas piezas de cuero elaborado.

En mi país es caliente todo el año (por lo menos en la ciudad) pero en 2 semanas me mudare a Barcelona, asi que no puedo estar más emocionada de darle la bienvenida al otoño una vez más. Aqui los dejo con mis diseños favoritos para el otoño.

Weekend of Peace

Sorry for the lack of posting this weekend but I was on the inner side of the country where the Internet is no good. I was being host of the semifinals for one of the most beautiful competitions that are celebrated in Panama, an oratory contest, where students are judge by their eloquence and intellect. Every little town in Panama choose a winner and then all the winners gather together on the gran finale where they can win up to 250,000 dollars on prizes! You can see more here.

And since I was there with my family we took advantage of time and visit our house in the mountains so it was very relaxing. I have to say that one of the things that make me the happiest is to play with little calfs, they are the cutest!!

Uniqlo and their Visual Paradise

On my last trip to New York I discovered Uniqlo, a Japanese retail store that sells casual clothing. When I enter it felt like the visual merchandising paradise, I couldn't believe how much work was put into it, and in a way I was glad I didn't had the hard work of opening that huge monster store. I attached some pics so you enjoy the beauties of the visual merchandising.

Spanish: En mi ultima visita a Nueva York descubri Uniqlo, una tienda de origen Japones que vende ropa casual. Cuando entre me senti como en el Disney World del Visual Merchandising o Escaparates. No podia creer cuanto trabajo fue puesto en una sola tienda y por un lado estaba aliviada que no fue mi trabajo abrir tremendo mounstro de tienda. Trend Alert: The Moon Boots

The moon boots are said to be the next big thing, few years ago  I will never consider them unless I was on a snowy place skying. But now I have seen designers come with beautiful balance and sober designs, I will love to have a pair.

Will you be wearing this trend? I think I will, if I get to find the perfect ones (great fit, comfortable, and great price).

Hello, today's outfit include a bandage skirt from Zara with tribal flowy top from a place I don't remember really. I bought the perfect accessories from H&M which included some bangles that combine with the top and feather earrings to keep stuff tribal. I was also on the beach this weekend and I attached a pic for you to feel the marine air :)

Spanish: Hola, el atuendo del dia de hoy es una falda bandage de Zara con un top de un lugar que no recuerdo. Le compre los accesorios perfectos en H&M que incluyen unas pulseritas que le combinan con el top y unos aretes de plumas para que siguiera el look tribal. Happiness is to Share

I was going through my journal, in which I have been writing like 4 years ago, and I found myself laughing, crying, thinking, and having all kinds of emotions. After reading all the things that already happened and how did I get over, I realized my obsession is to find Happiness. But what I just realized is that I´m happy, I really don´t have to searching anywhere.

All the events of the past have shaped me in a stronger and smarter person, the only thing I need to do is to have fun. So I will share with you this passage: “We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” ~George Bernard Shaw

Also, I wrote things that make me happy, these is the list:

1. Follow something spiritual

2. Be grateful

3. Share your success

4. Help others

5. Keep family close

6. Don´t Complain

7. Don´t Stress

8. One of the most important to me that I learn from Buddhism is: Don´t attached to ANYTHING or ANYONE. Your body is going to die and you are going to lose things and people someday. The most important thing to take care is your soul.

9. Follow your passion

10. If you don´t like something don´t do it.

11. Take risks. Life´s too short for not taking risks.

I receive an email asking me if I ever get to wear jeans; this make me realize that I haven't post an outfit of me wearing jeans in a long time. So this morning I wore jeans and here it is the result. I guess that I really like skirts, shorts and dresses because my country is soooooo hot all the year, we only have summer and rainy season.
